Christian Pilgrims’ Tour

Highlights

• We will start the day with a short drive to the Mount of Olives and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City. From there, we will begin our walk along the Palm Sunday Road, visiting the main churches along the way. Starting at the Pater Noster Church (Our Lord’s Prayer) we will continue our descent, passing by the Dominus Flevit Church and ending at the Church of Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane and the nearby Tomb of the Virgin Mary. Next, we will walk across the Kidron Valley and enter the Old City through Lions’ Gate to visit the Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. You will be able to retrace the final hours of Jesus’ life as we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows) toward the Holy Sepulcher passing along the Ecce Homo Arch and Church of Flagellation. On the way, we will stop at another Jerusalem’s famous landmark—the Austrian Hospice—and take the elevator to the top for one of the best panoramic views of the city. After our short break and optional lunch, we will continue our walk to the Holy Sepulcher commemorating the place of Christ’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection.
• Finally, we will make our way through the Old City toward the Armenian Quarter to Mount Zion and visit the Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle), the Tomb of David and finally the Dormition Abbey where Mary is said to have lived after Jesus' death.
